How to care for a faux-leather jacket

Remove dirt with a soft damp cloth without alcohol, acetone, or abrasive cleaners. After rain, blot the jacket dry and leave it on a hanger at room temperature, away from radiators. Store it on a hanger with broad shoulders inside a fabric garment bag, as moisture can build up in plastic. Machine washing and ironing are not recommended. A bag strap that repeatedly rubs against the same area can wear down the coating over time, so alternate shoulders.
